Father in Heaven, I pray that You are walking and sitting beside each of us reading these words. May Your presence be felt and known Lord. In Jesus name, Amen.
Well it feels like I’ve been apologizing far to often for not fulfilling a commitment. I committed to posting here on Wednesdays at around 3:00 a.m. but it seems I have missed that mark a few times and I don’t like doing that. I’d like to fill you all in on what has been happening lately… not to offer excuses or cop outs, but to let you know that I value my readers so very much and I don’t like letting them down for arbitrary reason.
A few days ago, my son fell and broke his nose. He was lucky because he had just taken off his glasses and was also carrying a ladder. He happened to fall directly between the rungs on the ladder and not on one of them. However, he did enough damage by breaking his nose. He has been in quite a bit of pain but he is muscling through.
Just before quarantine, my husband was supposed to have surgery but it got postponed until further notice. That notice came last week and he was scheduled for surgery. He had said surgery yesterday. He is home recovering and scheduled for another surgery on the eighteenth. He will be down for about two and a half months for that one.
I decided to attend a virtual writing conference at the end of July which has the potential for an appointment with an editor and publisher. This means I have to have my book ready to be pitched in about a month or so. I’m trying to maintain my you tube channel since it’s so very new. Writing devotionals for the Women’s Ministry book project is always on my plate and of course my first love is writing here for all of you. I’ve recently written a twenty-four hundred word story to be hopefully selected to be published in an Anthology project.
Thankfully my daughter’s life has been pretty calm, although she has gone back to work with a lot of new changes and she also registered for fall classes. She may be attending them on line again but time will tell.
The days seem to get away from me and because I am soliciting help from my family to schedule my posts and spell check and edit my videos and blah blah blah… it’s all kind of happening when everyone has a free minute. My passion will always remain with writing and speaking and Bible study. I do need to take some time (like a whole weekend) and get things organized into a schedule and be diligent about keeping that schedule. i ask for your prayers in this matter. My commitment is to my readers so this part will not change. I want it to be authentic and real and honest. Posting from my heart and with the intent to help or inspire or simply be an enjoyable read if that’s what someone needs in that moment.
I appreciate the grace you’ve all given me. I’ve never received any negative comments or feed back. Not that everyone has to like what I write or even like me, but I don’t feel hurtful negative comments are necessary. There are a thousand and one ways to convey a message to someone without being critical. Wouldn’t you agree?
So that’s what has been going on in my world for the last week or so. Among all the other daily things. I’d love to hear from you and how things are going in your world! My love to all of you. Blessings.
