It’s Foodie Friday (Your Turn)

OK y’all, I am probably in surgery by the time most of you will be reading this. If it is before 7:00 a.m. then I’m not yet, lol.

I won’t be able to eat anything crunchy or chewy or solid for about two weeks. I am having the bones in my ear replaced with prosthetic ones. So I will be having to eat a lot of soup…

This is where it’s your turn!

I would love for you all to send me your favorite soup recipes. This is a great season to have to be on a soup like diet and I’m always looking for a good new soup to try.

I look forward to gathering some new recipes into my collection! I will see you all here at the table soon! God bless my friends. xoxo

  1. Soft soup! Praying for your healing through…. tomato soup. Once heated add can of diced tomatoes. Let that heat up and before eating place a dollop of sour cream in the soup! Want something still soft yet a little spiced? When tomato soup is heated add some salsa; to taste, with some sour cream!

  2. easy potato soup in a pinch: in a large stock pot melt one stick of butter, add 1 diced (small) onion, 3-4 stalks of diced celery and 2 cloves of diced garlic, heat until soft. Add 8 cups of vegetable stock (or chicken if you’re not a vegetarian) and 4 diced (small) potatoes. Heat until potatoes are soft. Season to taste with salt and pepper, thyme, celery seed or your favorite spices. Add instant garlic mashed potatoes to thicken. (this is my secret ingredient! :)) DONE! serve with your favorite bread or crackers. Hope you feel better soon and mend super fast! xoxo!
