May I ask you this question?

I hope you don’t mind me dropping in like this, a little unexpectedly. I have something I’d like to ask each and every one of you…

I would really love to know what it is that you are struggling with right now at this moment?

I’m not promising to be able to fix it or that I can make it go away, but I am offering a listening ear and I WILL do what I can do to help you in any way I can.  I look forward to hearing from all of you  🙂

  1. Hi Cindy

It’s embarrassing to admit this but what I have struggling with is indiscipline around food. I am at least 40 pounds over weight and struggle to control my diet

I have come to the realization that a lot of my over eating stems from anxiety. Work stress has always been a contributing factor – the rest is due to poor habits

I pray for discipline in this area and healing and freedom from this eating disorder

I want to be filled at His table

    1. Hi Annie, I completely understand this concept. I have often gone to food ( and still do) as a point of control. I know it seems odd to say that because we often link over-eating to being out of control. For me; there is so much that is out of my control that eating is one area that is completely in my control.
I believe I will do a blog post on this topic of control and give various areas of where we try and have some control when we feel like we don’t have any. I hope this is making sense. Thank you for your feed back. Please don’t be embarrassed by this struggle, so very many people can relate to this; myself included. We all have something we struggle with and we should all link arms and face them with strength from each other! Press on sister… press on! Blessings.

  2. Hi Cindy,

I’m struggling with my unbelief. Currently enrolled in my last year of classes towards earning my ED.D degree. Sacrificing in every area with family, friends, prayer time, sleep, etc. Was informed over the weekend that the entire process could possibly be pushed back an entire year or two. Really, who has time for that!?! I have mounting student loans already. I realize everything happens in God’s timing and this is a test of my faith and patience. I’m ready for this phase to be over with so I can LIVE my life so to speak. Any encouragement is greatly appreciated!

By the way, I read your blog weekly😊

    1. Hi Tameka!

Thank you so much for reaching out to me! First let me say that it takes a strong person to take a hard look at where they are struggling so you are already headed in the right direction. I’m proud of you for sticking with your schooling to spite the set backs. If you feel Gods calling to pursue this avenue, then He will strengthen you through it.

In 1 Peter 5:6-7 it tells us “therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him for He cares for you.”

God will honor your journey when you are seeking to honor Him. As far as time to do the things you need or want to do, when we give our first “fruits” AKA; our first moments of the day, He honors that too. If you make it a priority in the morning to spend even 10 minutes with God, you will find that you have more time and energy for the other things. Focus on the one who created you because He knows exactly what you need. And of course your first need is Him!

I understand the struggle with unbelief. When event after event happens and we can’t seem to come up for air, we can feel like God has simply forgotten about our struggle… forgotten about us. But Tameka let me assure you my friend that God sees you! He knows your struggle! He has a perfect plan for you in place and loves you too much then to let His plan unfold exactly in the right order. God sees everything from the beginning to the end and since He already knows how the story goes, trust Him to keep telling it.

I so appreciate your comments and I look forward to hearing from you again. Your place is always set at my table! Blessings to you. KIP.
